Laredo The Tomato© was born on June 21, 2021—
the first day of summer,
the longest day of the year,
when the sun rises early, stays late, and gives everything it has.
In the Valley of the Sun, that matters.
That is where Laredo began—
in a small personal garden in Laredo, Spain,
where sun and soil are treated with respect,
and where growing things right matters
more than growing them fast.
Laredo started as a seed, gently placed into rich,
living soil by caring hands.
He was nurtured by a gardener
who believed that food should have a story,
that patience creates flavor,
and that the best things in life cannot be rushed.
Each morning, the sun showed up
just like it always does in the Valley.
Each evening, the soil held its warmth.
And in between, Laredo grew.

He grew alongside peppers, herbs, limes, and other tomatoes
